School closed until 18th inst for CORONATION and Whit-suntide Holiday.

School re-opened with a full staff and an excellent attendance.

21 May 1937

Owing to heavy and continuous RAIN the attendance has fallen . 62 children being absent. Weekly attendance = 90%. 15 Requisition Forms in duplicate with Form 151 have been sent to the School Correspondent. METER READINGS - WATER --- 5,346,000 ELECTRIC --- 1435 downstairs} 1287 upstairs} GAS --- 1,044,000

EMPIRE DAY. All children assembled in Hall at 3.55pm to hold Celebration prior to dismissal for the day. National Savings = 10/-

27 May 1937

Dr. Gabriel calls to specially examine Dorothy Butchart and Robert Wilman. As a result of the examination D. Butchart was excused further attendance at school.

28 May 1937

Dr. Gabriel again called to examine Thomas Mackenzie. Weekly attendance = 95.8%

4 June 1937

National Savings = 8/- Weekly attendance = 95.6%. METER READINGS --- WATER --- 5,370,000 ELECTRIC --- 1440 downstairs 1290 upstairs GAS --- 1,047,000
