Medical Inspection of about 100 children commenced to-day.

Medical Inspection concluded this afternoon. The average attendance this week has been 277, representing a percentage of 88.7%. Many cases of sickness (measles, fever &c) still exist.

Mr Nicholls visited the School this afternoon, and examined the registers of St 7.

Two children, Norman & Eleanor Nicholson, have contracted diphtheria. These are the first cases in the Senior department, though there have recently been seven cases in the Junior dept. The two children mentioned, having been absent throughout the week, have evidently contracted the disease during the Christmas Holiday.
