Today a School Choric Speech Team (23 children) took part in the North of England Tournament at the City Hall, Newcastle on Tyne. Out of a six schools entry this school was second. The winning team receiving 178 marks and this School 175 marks. The marginal difference between the Schools was slight. Last year the corresponding School team won the banner in this Class. Miss A.J. Feggetter trained these teams and it is my pleasure to record the School's appreciation of her fine work. In summarising the School is very proud of its record during the past two years in the North of England Tournament.
