…School a.m. to make arrangements for a specialist teacher to visit the School one day per week to teacher Drama & Choric Speech. The teacher will commence duties immediately after Oct. Holiday.

7+ Assessment. Subject taken Reading. Times for testing & marking as for two previous days.

6 October 1949

7+ Assessment. Subject taken Mental Ability. This test was of the longest duration and Part 1 was taken between 10.0 - 10.45 and Part 2 between 11.15 and 12 (noon). The marking period was as for the previous days of the week and it is my pleasure to note that the entire staff were extremely careful in administering the tests according to regulations and gave freely of their out-of-school time to ensure that all the test booklets were carefully marked and checked.

7 October 1949

The test booklets with all relevant literature were dispatched to the Education Office, County Hall, Newcastle on Tyne at 3 p.m. There are 267 children on School Register and the Average Attendance for the week was 95.3%.
