To-day, Miss Wilson, County P.T. Organiser, from 9.45am until noon, saw Classes IIIa; IIIb; IIa. Miss Wilson has now seen all the lady members of the Staff. Weekly attendance = 92.6%. National Savings = 1/-. Attendance Officer reported on Monday 6th. at 4.15pm. New Toilet Roll fittings have been fixed in both Girls' and Boys' conveniences. The Headmaster was absent from noon today with permission to attend a funeral in NEWCASTLE. Weekly attendance = 92.8%

17 February 1939

National Savings = 10/-. On Monday - 13th. Miss Bell was absent during the morning session owing to her mother's illness. The Head master took charge of her class. Miss Bell returned to school at 1.50pm for the afternoon session. On Tuesday - 14th.inst. Counr. J.M.Whitfield checked Registers etc... (see above record). On Wednesday, 15th. inst at 11.45am. Mr. E.H. Arnold, County Handwork Supervisor called to state that, in a short while, two "Traffic Lights" models... made by Mr. Guthrie, of Whitley North Council School, would
