…examined most of the classes in Religious Knowledge. He also checked Stock Book, signed Teachers' Time Book etc. On Tuesday a.m. of 10th. inst. Mr C Marks of Leicester took the photographs of all the children. On Wednesday, the 11th. inst., a selection of specimens of hand-work done in several of the classes — 66 examples — and some drawings in pastel, pencil and water-colour, were sent to be shown at the Arts and Crafts' Exhibition in Laing Art Gallery on May 25th - 28th 1938. Weekly attendance = 93.5%.

Empire Day Celebration in Hall began approx 3-20 p.m. The last item on programme was an EMPIRE PAGEANT performed by pupils of Class 3a in appropriate costumes. Mrs. Poughes accompanied the singing.
