…NEWCASTLE from to-night (Thursday) until noon on Saturday.

14 April 1938

National Savings = 16/6 . Attendance Officer reported on Tuesday - 12th. inst. 4.15pm . Term Reports were taken home by the children yesterday, and 'slips' brought to school signed by parents this morning. Weekly attendance = 90.9%. Easter Holiday begins at noon to-day -- 13 school sessions. School re-assembles on Monday - 25th. April.

29 April 1938

School re-opened on Monday with an excellent attendance and a full staff. National Savings = 19/. Particulars re 'Forecast of Organisation' have been sent to the Headmasters of the two senior schools, and have been received from the three contributory infant schools. One form of 'Forecast' has been completed and sent to the County Director via the school correspondent. Six children have been admitted, and three marked 'left' during the week. Attendance Officer reported on Tuesday and to-day.
