…and an excellent attendance. During the week one new scholar was admitted and one has removed to Durham County. Weekly Attendance = 95.3%. Term examination have continued all the week.

War. Savings on 13th. = 12/6 and this week = 12/- Mr. J. Liddell from Dial Home called at 3.30 pm on 18th. inst. and Miss Dunlop. Supervisor for Physical Training called on 19th. and discussed the possibility of commencing Swimming lessons in 1935. Weekly Attendance = 93%

War. Savings = 14/- Weekly attendance = 89.6%. Term Examinations having been completed, re-classification has been agreed upon. Summer Holiday begins at 4.30 pm. to-day and school re-opens on Monday August 27th.

27 August 1934

School opened with a full staff and an excellent attendance of children. Twelve pupils from outside of the area have been admitted, and 15 have left. There are now 401 names on the Register. War Savings = 3/-. The newly appointed attendance Officer (Mr. J.H. Thornton) called
