On 17th inst. 20 Dual Locker DESKS arrived from Astley Senior School : Mr Dawson of Whitley Rotary Club called and offered to help in any way to further the ideals of PEACE. War Savings = 11/6. Today a clerk from Dial House N/C called to discuss the Book Requisition List. Attendance Officer called on 18th inst. and today. The Autumn Holiday began at 4.30 p.m. today : School reopens on Monday 31st inst. Weekly attendance = 94 % Monthly " = 93.9 %

On 31st ult. the bulk of the MAIN REQUISITION (Books) arrived. On Tuesday Nov 1st. Miss Elsie L. Gentles began duty (temporary) as C.A. and was given charge of Class IV B, the class vacated by Miss M.A. Collinson whose duty terminated on 31.10.32. On Tuesday I left school for about 1 hour — 9.50 until 10.50 — in order to consult with the Chairman of the Managers concerning the vacancy on the Staff; while I was out the Attendance Officer called. In addition to the Penny Bank Savings, the children bought War Saving Stamps to the value of 10/6. All the new text books are being carefully backed with brown kraft paper.
