The prevalence of measles in the district, during the last few weeks, is at length affecting the attendance of this department. Fourteen children are absent this morning owing to this cause.

7 July 1911

Mrs M. E. Lawrie terminated her temporary appointment at this school to-day. The percentage of attendance this week has dropped to 89.3% owing to the extension of measles

14 July 1911

Attendance still more seriously affected owing to increase in the number of cases of measles. Average = 255.9. Percentage 80.9%

Miss Phoebe. M. Mitchell, Uncertificated Assistant took up her appointment on the Staff this morning.

School closed at noon to-day for the usual Summer Vacation, which is extended this year to five weeks on account of the Coronation. Attendance this week still more seriously affected by the spread of measles. 79 children have been absent throughout the entire week.
