I have visited the Infant School today & was much pleased with the care taken by each teacher to make the Childrens' lessons interesting.

School closed at noon today for the Summer Vacation.

School resumed this morning. Miss Little is absent owing to a bereavement in the family. E J B

Miss Little has not yet returned to school, and there being no temporary assistance procured, the staff is short. A doctor's certificate has been received.

Miss Little has re-commenced her duties.

During the past month many children have been admitted, from schools in other areas, who are very backward for their age; some are from private schools, and in two instances the health of the child has interfered with his progress. Some, of 6 years, have never been to any school prior to coming here.
