…This afternoon there are 115 children present out of 141.

28 January 1910

Severe snowstorm; only 30 children present out of 141. These arrived in so wet a condition that it was deemed prudent not to keep them at school. They were therefore sent home, and registers were not marked.

8 February 1910

Shrove Tuesday - school closed for half a day in the afternoon.

11 February 1910

The attendance has suffered very much this week - 25 children have been absent the whole of the week. Of these, 11 are cases of mumps & 8 of chicken-pox, the remainder being minor ailments. There are 146 chil on roll.
