Broke up school for Christmas Holidays.

School resumed this morning; six new children were admitted.

Severe snow-storm. Attendance very considerably affected in consequence. Only 86 children present out of 141 this morning. This afternoon there are 98 children present.
- 26 January 1910
School did not meet today. There were no coals to hand, & the temperature of the rooms being one or two degrees below freezing point, it was decided to send the children home for the day.
- 27 January 1910
The attendance is still very poor; many children have bad coughs & colds. A number of children, who did not come to school this morning lest there should be no fires, have returned this afternoon; their parents having been assured that the premises were quite warm.
