Attendance down to day, so many children away to see the Mauretania pass Tynemouth pier.

Paid Visit without notice, checked the registers and found them correctly made up.

The children were dismissed at a quarter to four this afternoon, the premises having to be disinfected.

Attendance very much down today owing to the very inclement weather.

Visited by Medical Officer of Health for the district, owing to the prevalence of measles.

Beatrice Grange P.T. absent owing to indisposition. Annie Hall P.T. absent (this afternoon) with permission, owing to prize distribution at Rutherford College. Measles are becoming an epidemic.

Fifty children are absent today out of 185, and the Medical Officer recommends the closing of the schools.
