There are over thirty children absent today owing to a Sunday School Excursion. There are 155 children on the roll, and the attendance has consequently suffered to a great degree.

Another Sunday School Excursion has, again, been the means of spoiling the attendance this afternoon.

School closed at 4 p.m today for the summer vacation, four weeks. The school will resume on Sep 2nd.

Resumed school this morning; there was only a moderate attendance, many children being still away from home, and others suffering from sickness. Twenty-two new children were enrolled.

The attendance is slightly improved this week, though there are one or two cases of infectious complaints. The total no of scholars now on the roll = 181. Of these 103 are junior children, & 78 are infants.
