Mother of Beryl Craig in School today (pm.) to inform me that her child was detained in Tynemouth Infirmary with double fracture of upper left arm + a dislocated joint.
School closes today for the Autumn Holiday and reopens Tuesday 30th October.

Mr Brown (County Architect) + Alderman Cookson (Buildings Section) in School late pm. to investigate state of Girls' Playground.
Accident Forms, given to me today by Mr Baglee (Clerk to Managers) filled in re Beryl Craig + dispatched to the Director.
Mrs C Davis, Canteen Auxiliary Gd II, absent from duties today with a scalded foot (accident in her own home). Mrs M Johnson, 35, [9th Av]. W. Bay temporarily undertakes auxiliary's duties.
Mr J Hayon absent this pm. by permission of the Managers.
Three students from Alnwick Training College (2 women) begin Teaching Practice in this School today. Practice will terminate Weds. Nov. 21st.
