Miss Irene Ward M.P. (Tynemouth Div.) in the Company of C. Councillor Mrs M. Allan and Mr J.H. Baglee (Clerk to the managers) visited the School this afternoon. C. Councillor Mrs Allan represented the School Managers. The guests were received by me and introduced to the Staff. Each classroom was visited & Miss Ward talked to the children concerning the work in hand. She also saw practical work done by the children individually + collectively & took a keen interest in the Country Dancing and Visual Aids (Geography) lessons. The Choric Speech Team which won second place in the North of England Musical Tournament also
