Mrs Stewart (Canteen Supervisor) gives me a written complaint about Mr Lorimer (Caretaker) failing to sweep Canteen Dining Hall after the four Xmas Parties held last term. Canteen staff obliged to do the work. I hand this written complaint to the Clerk to the Managers (Mr J.H. Baglee)
I attend a Canteen Committee meeting held in the Whitley North Modern School at 2 pm. Mrs Cochrane of 25, St Paul's Gdns., Whitley Bay. is permanently appointed Canteen Auxiliary & Mrs Mitchell of 42, Marina Av. Monkseaton is temporarily appointed in place of Mrs S Davis (still absent with nose complaint).

School Attendance is 90.76% which is very good considering there is an influenza epidemic in this district & the north-east generally.
