7+ Assessment Exam. commences today (a.m.) with Spellings. By permission School is closed at 3.30p.m to allow Staff to proceed with marking & checking of scripts.
Misses Dorothy Fraser and Doris Richardson, two students from Alnwick Training College (women) commence a three weeks School Practice today. Miss Fraser is assigned to Std 3B and Miss Richardson to Std 3A.

Headmaster attends a meeting in the Whitley North Modern Secondary School at 2.30p.m. This meeting was convened for local Head Teachers to discuss the possibility of holding a Music & Drama Festival in May 1950 in conjunction with the Festival of Britain. Mr Harvey & Dr. Mantz (County Organisers) were the Conveners.
