Mr Dobson in School (a.m.) to see Miss Smithies who is still in her probationary period. Empire Day was observed by a talk to the School by Headmaster, and the reading of Lord Gowrie's message to School children. Immediately after this the School listened to the B.B.C. Empire Day broadcast (11.20 - 11.40) & proceedings were concluded by children + Staff singing the National Anthem.

Mrs Brigham (K.L.T.C) in School to see Students. Miss Margaret C. Smith had an accident in Girls' playground (a.m.) while supervising at break. Joining in a ball game with a group of children, she fell & badly injured her head.
