Nurse Turnbull in School a.m. for Cleanliness inspection for all children. Few untidy. Grading Exam Scrutiny (arrangements as above for 17.1.50 & 16.1.50.

20 January 1950

Very bad attendance this week due to epidemic of influenza & tonsilitis in district. Att.ce % = 87.8.

23 January 1950

Grading Exam Results to hand. 12 pupils (7 Girls 5 Boys) in Group I and 6 pupils in Group II (3 Boys 3 Girls). This is a very satisfactory result in view of the fact that there were 69 entrants.

24 January 1950

Record Cards of Grading Exam pupils in Group I & II plus 8 from Group III for reconsideration are sent to the Director.

27 January 1950

School attendance for week is 80.9. Epidemic of influenza & tonsilitis prevails for second week.

Received official notice eight more children are included in Group II Grading Exam Dec 1949. Revised figures are Group I 12 Group II 14.
