Teaching Staff have today been reminded to observe their daily duties in supervising classrooms, stairways & playgrounds. I have taken necessary precautions to ensure that 'children walk up and down the stairways in orderly fashion' and that they are not left in the classrooms unattended. Signed, A Hardman Headmaster.

5 April 1949

Miss M. Belchon still absent and informs Headmaster she will not be at School this week.

6 April 1949

The Ministry of Information Mobile Film Unit visits School p.m. and the following films are shown to the whole School :- The Beaver, The training of a Policeman, and The Night Mail (Kings X to Edinburgh). The entire show took one hour and was of great educational value.

7 April 1949

School closed today as building is being used as Polling Station for County Council elections.
