…The sessions were amended as follows on Thursday 8th to enable children and teachers to attend the Gosforth Physical Fitness Festival. MORNING. 9am to 11.40am. AFTERNOON. 1.10pm to 3.15pm. Five pupils were admitted and three left during the week. Weekly attendance = 93.3%.

National Savings = 8/- . Attendance Officer reported on Monday 12th inst. Afternoon session ended at 4.15pm to allow all members of the Staff to attend an A.R.P. lecture. On Tuesday 13th. the Main Requisition Certificate were sent to the school correspondent. Weekly attendance = 91.8% To-day many of the desks in Rooms 1; 2; 3; 6; and 5 were condemned as unsuitable or too much damaged: they have been replaced by desks brought to the school under Mr. Short's orders. A few of our desks with seats 13" high were transferred to the Infant Department. Race Week Holiday begins at 4.30pm to-day. School re-opens on Monday 26th inst. METER READINGS...
