On WED. at 11.15am . Mr. D.F.JONES .. P.T. County Organiser .. called re P.T. Display to take place at Gosforth in June: Miss Stewart was absent on Wednesday afternoon with permission to attend a funeral. Weekly attendance = 93%.

17 March 1939

National Savings = 10/6 . Attendance Officer called on Tuesday 14th. inst. at 10.30am . On Thursday - Mr Crozier N.C.C. .. called about "REPAIRS". Weekly attendance = 92%. Term Examinations having been concluded, certain pupils have been transferred to more appropriate classes. METER READINGS .. WATER ........... 6,727,000 ELECTRIC downstairs - 4,862 upstairs ........ 2,456 GAS .......... 1,235,000

24 March 1939

National Savings = 11/- . Attendance Officer called at 3.30pm. "Forecast" totals were sent to Mr. Trumbull, Head of Monkseaton Senior School and Mr Wails of North Senior School. Probable number to former = 39 ; to North = 63. Owing to growth of infectious disease - especially chicken pox and bad weather, the weekly attendance has fallen to 89.5%.

National Savings = 12/- . Heavy rain ... cold S.E. wind has adversely affected the attendance to day.

28 March 1939

Grading Examination took place today from 9am until 2pm. Total number sitting = 108 including 2 girls from N. Shields' pri. school . Mr. H. Gray acted as superintendent.
