Staff Meeting re School Christmas Parties was held in Headmaster's Room from 4.30 p.m. till 5 p.m.

National Savings = 5/- Attendance Officer called on Monday at 3.15 p.m. On Tuesday, the new B.B.C. pamphlets for Spring Term 1938 were ordered - cheque for £2.2.0 sent in payment. Severely cold weather, wind and sleet have had a bad effect upon the general attendance. There has been less P.T. taken during the week, and more DRAMATIC ENGLISH given in preparation for next week's Children's Christmas Parties. Weekly attendance = 89.4 % METER READINGS.. National Savings = 11/6. Attendance Officer called 13th. (Monday aft.). On Monday, 13th. inst., Messrs. Johnson of Tynemouth returned the gramophone with motor repaired, and from 4.15 p.m. until 7.30 p.m., 96 pupils of Classes II a and II b held their Christmas Party. On Tuesday, 14th. inst., Classes III a, III b, III a held a similar Party. Owing to indisposition the Headmaster was absent on 15th. all day, and on 16th. (half-day). To-day - FRIDAY - Mr. Crozier, Buildings Inspector N.C.C., called about 10.20 a.m with builder with reference to certain repairs to be effected. The severe wintry weather during the week has kept many children from school. Weekly attendance = 89.9 %
