Five children were retained in Std 6. Otherwise the classes were promoted as a whole.
52 children were received from St I in the Junior Dept; average age of the children = 8 yrs 4 months.
On revising the calculation, from ages supplied from Junior Dept, I find the average age is 8 yrs 9 months. I have informed the Headmistress of the Junior Dept of the correction. The following is a summary of the ages on transfer:-
7½ to 8 = 3
8 to 8½ = 16
8½ to 9 = 17
9 to 9½ = 13
