…arrived shortly after nine o'clock, and was followed by Mr Mills, Miss Spafford, and Mr Glasgow. Miss Spafford inspected the Drill and Needlework especially. Written exercises in composition and arithmetic were worked by the children of Standards 5, 6, and 7.

25 May 1914

Mr Brockbanks visited the School this afternoon and requested that in future, the older children in attendance in the Junior Dept should have the use of the play ground and lavatories of the Senior dept. This was agreed to, after a consultation with Miss Browne, with the stipulation that one of the teachers of the Junior dept should supervise the children during the time allotted to recreation

Miss Hope (Std 5) left school at 11.15 this morning owing to a severe attack of sickness.

29 May 1914

School closed at 4 p.m. today, for the usual Whitsuntide holiday.

3 June 1914

School reopened this morning. Joseph Corbett. Certif. B.A. Commenced duty
