Whitley South Council School. Mixed Dept.
This school was opened by me this day. At present the Mixed Dept is to comprise Stds II, III, IV, & V. The number of children entered in the Admission Register is 109. Many of the children in Stds II & III attended the Junior School in this building under Miss Brown, while the remainder, and most of the children in IV & V have been transferred from the North Council Schools in accordance with the instructions of the Managers relating to the Subdivision of Whitley Bay into two school areas.
The Staff of teachers is as follows

William Henry Clothier Certificated Assistant (Trained)
