This is the printed title page of the logbook. It reads: "SCHOOL DIARY OR LOG BOOK. THE NORTH OF ENGLAND SCHOOL FURNISHING CO., LTD., NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE." In the top right corner is a handwritten pencil annotation "LB 2" within an oval. Faint show-through text from the reverse side (printed extracts from the New Code) is visible but not transcribed here as it appears reversed/bleeding through.
