…in shelters until the "All Clear" sounded at 10.10am

17 November 1941

Owing to "black-out" conditions school times have been altered to 9.30 a.m till 12 noon & 1.30 pm to 4 pm from today.

Checked register of Classes III (28 and II (28) and found them correct.

9 December 1941

Children were in shelters for twenty minutes - 11.10 am - 11.30 am.

5 January 1942

School closed on Friday, December 19th for Christmas & re-opened today.
Miss Robison has been granted three months leave of absence & Mrs. Cheeseman began duties in her place this morning.

13 January 1942

Alerts were sounded & children in shelters 10.55 am - 11.10 am & 3.40 pm - 3.50 pm today.
The wardens were in school doing their fifth monthly inspection of gas masks.

17 February 1942

The wardens inspected gas masks in all classes today.

Visited school and inspected Registers Classes II and III and found correct

10 March 1942

Gas masks were inspected throughout the school by wardens.

18 March 1942

Dr. Pierce has been in school today & yesterday conducting a medical examination.
