18 December 1928

The school is in a very dirty state today. During the last three years the state of the school has been far from satisfactory. Now, however, the conditions are decidedly worse, for on some occasions the school is not in a fit state for children to commence their work.
Worst signs of neglect - floors only partly swept.

  • dusting almost neglected.
  • washbasins in dirty state.
    Special attention of Caretaker called on the following dates :-
19 October 1928

Immediately after doctor's visit. Cl. 2 + St.I rooms - rolls of dust under form & in middle of floor. Caretaker said he must have missed it.

7 November 1928

St.I St.IIb. Children & teacher had to sweep floor and Hall floor - day of Inspector's visit.

21 November 1928

Cl. 2. Caretaker called - swept rooms from 9.5am to 9.15 am.

26 November 1928

Hall. Sawdust left all round.

18 December 1928

"Open Day". School in particularly bad state. Caretaker swept Hall at
