In the top class there are four very slow children - they are older than the majority of the children and I put them up a short time ago in order that they might have some preparation for the Senior School - I regret doing so now - the work has been quite beyond their capabilities and they have felt the strain of trying to keep up with the others. Next year I will organise as far as possible on capability only. This has been a strenuous year, as, when the school was opened in September many of the children were put up from very low classes - the work was quite new to them and it has been impossible to bring them up to as high a standard as we would like.
