The Student Teacher is away on a visit to Bedlington Council School.

School closed this afternoon for the Christmas Vacation.

School resumed this morning, there were 60 children absent — many parents understood that the schools would not re-assemble at such an early date, this day being a local holiday with places of business all closed.

From today the Registers will only be marked once during the morning session from 9.30 - 12.30 p.m.

Visited by the medical officer in order to enquire into the circumstances of those children who had previously been certified by the head teacher as weak in intellect. The doctor has given orders that children must not be forced up on account of age, but must be retained for another year if necessary in the same class,
